Consensus Studies

The IKDSG has produced, as a collective, and IKDSG members have contributed to landmark Delphi consensus and expert consensus statements published in leading peer-reviewed journals including the Journal of Bone and Joint Surgery (JBJS), Journal of ISAKOS, Arthroscopy, British Journal of Sports Medicine and Knee Surgery, Sports Traumatology, Arthroscopy (KSSTA).

Background

The Surgical Timing and Reconstruction (STaR) Trial is one of the most significant multicentre research initiatives in the field of multiligament knee injuries. IKDSG has developed a close collaborative relationship with the STaR Trial investigators, contributing expertise and patient data to this landmark study.

The STaR Trial investigates optimal surgical timing and reconstruction strategies for MLKI patients, addressing fundamental questions that have long remained unanswered due to the rarity of these injuries at any single institution.
